Bachmann Introduces Legislation to Rescind Congressional Pay Raise
“I am calling on my colleagues in the House and Senate to rescind President Obama’s executive order that gives members of Congress a pay raise. This executive order was not requested by Congress and we should reject it. We have a spending problem in our country and we should be looking for areas to cut spending. At a time when families across the country are cutting back we should not increase government spending and add to the debt burden by giving members of Congress a pay raise. We need to begin with ourselves and I urge my colleagues to join me in this effort.”
She Survived Hitler And Now Warns America!
“I am a witness to history.
...
“I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history.
If you remember the plot of the Sound of Music, the Von Trapp family escaped over the Alps rather than submit to the Nazis. Kitty wasn’t so lucky. Her family chose to stay in her native Austria. She was 10 years old, but bright and aware. And she was watching.
“We elected him by a landslide – 98 percent of the vote,” she recalls.
She wasn’t old enough to vote in 1938 – approaching her 11th birthday. But she remembers.
“Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.”
No so.
Hitler is welcomed to Austria
“In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25 percent inflation and 25 percent bank loan interest rates.
Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply weren’t any jobs.
“My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.’
“We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany, where Hitler had been in power since 1933.” she recalls. “We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living.
Austrian girls welcome Hitler
“Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group – Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone in Germany was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria. We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back.
“Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler.
“We were overjoyed,” remembers Kitty, “and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and
everyone was fed.
Austrians saluting
“After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.
“Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn’t support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.
“Then we lost religious education for kids
(Envision the famous poster promoting "Hitler Youth")
“Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang ‘Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles,’ and had physical education.
“Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail.”
And then things got worse.
“The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free.
“We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.
“My mother was very unhappy,” remembers Kitty. “When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn’t do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun – no sports, and no political indoctrination.
“I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing.
(Envision a pro-Hitler rally)
“Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time, unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler.
“It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn’t exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.
“In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn’t work, you didn’t get a ration card, and if you didn’t have a card, you starved to death.
“Women who stayed home to raise their families didn’t have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.
“Soon after this, the draft was implemented.
Young Austrians:
“It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps,” remembers Kitty. “During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys.
“They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines.
“When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat.
“Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.
“When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers.
“You could take your children ages four weeks old to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, seven days a week, under the total care of the government.
“The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.
“Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna..
“After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything.
“When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full.
“If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.
“As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80 percent of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families.
“All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.
“We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables.
“ Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn’t meet all the demands.
“Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.
“We had consumer protection, too...
Austrian kids loyal to Hitler:
“We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, and then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.
“In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps. The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated.
“So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work.
“I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van.
“I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months.
“They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.
“As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.
“Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long afterwards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.
“No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.
“Totalitarianism didn’t come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria. Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.”
“This is my eye-witness account.
“It’s true. Those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity.
“America is truly is the greatest country in the world. “Don’t let freedom slip away.
“After America, there is no place to go.”

Feinstein unveils sweeping gun-control agenda
Democrat legislation includes ban on scores of firearms, database of owners
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., plans to introduce sweeping gun-control legislation at the beginning of the congressional session in January.
“It [the bill] will ban the sale, the transfer, the transportation and the possession” of certain weapons, the California senator said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Not retroactively, but prospectively. And it will ban the same for big clips, drums or strips of more than 10 bullets.”
The senator describes the proposal as a version of the assault-weapons ban that expired in 2004.
Feinstein’s legislation ban scores of firearms, including military-style “assault” weapons and high-capacity ammunition feeding devices. It also calls for the creation of a federal register that would require millions of gun owners to be fingerprinted and photographed.
The following is a summary of the legislation posted on Feinstein’s official senatorial website:
Bans the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of:
- 120 specifically-named firearms
- Certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and have one military characteristic
- Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds
- Moving from a 2-characteristic test to a 1-characteristic test
- Eliminating the easy-to-remove bayonet mounts and flash suppressors from the characteristics test
- Banning firearms with “thumbhole stocks” and “bullet buttons” to address attempts to “work around” prior bans
Protects legitimate hunters and the rights of existing gun owners by:
- Grandfathering weapons legally possessed on the date of enactment
- Exempting over 900 specifically-named weapons used for hunting or sporting purposes and
- Exempting antique, manually-operated, and permanently disabled weapons
- Background check of owner and any transferee;
- Type and serial number of the firearm;
- Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint;
- Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law; and dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration
Hobby Lobby To Close? Supreme Court Denies Reprive
The lower court had earlier refused to protect the company from an ObamaCare-tied requirement to provide contraceptive coverage, and the fines that come with it for not complying.
CEO David Green, who had taken his case to the appeals court after losing in a lower-court ruling, had argued that his family would have to either "violate their faith by covering abortion-causing drugs or be exposed to severe penalties."
The Supreme Court's latest ruling is not on the underlying merits of the mandate itself -- it simply denies the company's request for an injunction while legal battle on the merits plays out. There are currently more than 40 cases pending against that rule.
The mandate requires businesses and organizations, with some exceptions, to provide access to contraception coverage -- Hobby Lobby was most concerned about coverage for the morning-after pill, which some consider tantamount to an abortion-causing drug. Hobby Lobby has refused to comply, while saying the fines could add up to $1.3 million a day.
In its earlier ruling, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals said the company did not prove the rule would "substantially burden" its religious freedom. Though the mandate has exemptions for religious entities like churches, the lower court ruled that Hobby Lobby is not a religious group.
The company, founded in 1972, has more than 13,000 full-time employees across more than 500 stores.

Author Says Black Liberalism, Kwanzaa, Are ‘Anti-God’
Stacy Swimp |
He specifically takes aim at Kwanzaa, the African American-themed celebration of Christmas. The celebration is based on seven principles, including unity, self-determination, responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. Swimp believes it’s a liberal ruse.
“Black liberals who are professing to embrace these so-called principles are actually deceiving themselves, because liberalism is a direct affront to each of the principles taught in the Kwanzaa celebration,” Swimp wrote. “I would, quite honestly, be very excited if liberals where to actually put into practice these principles which they so superficially celebrate.”
Swimp added that “no conservative” celebrates Kwanzaa, which he describes as an anti-God, anti-American celebration meant to distract black people from the true meaning of Christmas.
Detroit’s Rev. D. Alexander Bullock also appeared on the show, saying everything Swimp said was nonsense.
“I do celebrate Kwanzaa, celebrate Christmas as well,” Bullock said. “First of all, the brother (Swimp) has said black liberals … don’t believe in God, that’s not true. If there is somebody who has a liberal philosophy, like say, Dr. Martin Luther King … He’s a man of faith, he would be a black liberal.”
Swimp said churches support liberalism when they have large parishes of people on welfare, in and out of prison, have unmarried people with children, and tell women they should be able to choose an abortion. And many of those same churches urge the celebration of Kwanzaa, he believes.
“Concern for the poor is a good thing,” Bullock said, adding, “To equate concern for the poor with slavery … If conservatives were in control, then Lincoln would not have emancipated African Americans, we would still be in slavery.”
Swimp said, “You don’t enable people you care about (with welfare).”
As the talk got more heated — and broad — caller Leroy in Detroit weighed in, saying, “Black people are now in worse condition than we were when we came out of slavery, employment, disease — we’re behind in everything, and we weren’t like that before. Look at Detroit Public Schools, where kids graduate who can’t even read.”
Several noted that 97 percent of people who voted in the last election in Detroit voted for Barack Obama for president. “Detroit is one of the poorest urban communities in this country … It is the most economically deprived community in the nation and most of the leaders in this city are liberal Democrats … They want to blame conservatives for their own self-destruction,” Swimp said.
Rev. Bullock said, “I can be proud of the (president’s) franchise, black people decided who they were going to vote for and they voted … It’s the liberal voters that created education, Detroit was a booming city, all of that was the result of liberal policies.” He added that later unfair trade policies sent jobs overseas and destroyed the local economy.
But liberals are moving away from religion and toward atheism, chimed in Jackie Paige, a local TV and radio personality, noting that isn’t a good trend for Rev. Bullock and his powerful Detroit churches.
“I see a hunger for a spiritual awareness, it that’s Christianity fine, if that’s Islam fine … But find a spirituality that fits you,” Bullock said.
He added: ”I got a dream that Stacy will get his mind together.”

Taxpayers take a 50% Hit as Government sells of GM Stock
A few days after divesting its stake in the firm that started it all, AIG, and at a profit at that (ignoring that the risk has merely been onboarded by the Fed whose DV01 is now $2+ billion as a result), the US Treasury continues to divest of all its bailout stake, this time proceeding to GM, where the channel stuffing firm just announced it would buyback 200MM shares from the US government at a price of $27.50. More importantly, the "Treasury said it intends to sell its other remaining 300.1 million shares through various means in an orderly fashion within the next 12-15 months, subject to market conditions. Treasury intends to begin its disposition of those 300.1 million common shares as soon as January 2013 pursuant to a pre-arranged written trading plan. The manner, amount, and timing of the sales under the plan are dependent upon a number of factors." Assuming a price in the $27.50 range, this implies a nearly 50% loss on the government's breakeven price of $54. So much for the "profit" spin. One hopes all those Union votes were well worth the now booked $40+ billion cost to all taxpayers.
One wonders why the US government did not open up this particular buyback to a public tender: after all some taxpayers may still care about the financial mismanagement of Uncle Sam. Then again, perhaps not.
From GM:
General Motors today said it will purchase 200 million shares of GM common stock held by the U.S. Department of the Treasury for $5.5 billion, or $27.50 per share. The share buyback is part of the Treasury’s plan, also announced today, to fully exit its entire holdings of GM stock within 12 to 15 months, subject to market conditions.
Treasury has announced its intention to sell its remaining shares of common stock into the market through various means and in an orderly fashion. Treasury intends to begin its disposition of its remaining shares as soon as January 2013, consistent with a pre-arranged written trading plan. In addition, Treasury has agreed to relinquish certain governance rights that were included in the U.S. Treasury Secured Credit Agreement with GM.
“This announcement is an important step in bringing closure to the successful auto industry rescue, it further removes the perception of government ownership of GM among customers, and it demonstrates confidence in GM’s progress and our future,” said Dan Akerson, chairman and CEO of GM.
Dan Ammann, senior vice president and CFO added, “A fortress balance sheet has been a pillar of GM’s financial strategy and has enabled us to undertake today’s actions. GM’s balance sheet will remain very strong, with estimated liquidity of approximately $38 billion at the end of 2012, following the closing of the share buyback.”
The repurchase price of $27.50 per share represents a 7.9 percent premium over the closing price on December 18, 2012. The share buyback is expected to close by the end of the year. This transaction will be accretive to earnings per share, as GM’s total shares outstanding on a fully diluted basis will be reduced by approximately 11 percent. In association with this share buyback, GM expects to take a charge of approximately $400 million in the fourth quarter, which will be treated as a special item.
After the repurchase, Treasury will continue to own approximately 300 million shares of GM common stock, or approximately 19 percent of the outstanding shares on a fully diluted basis. Government ownership of GM stock was the result of the auto industry rescue that began under President George W. Bush in 2008 and which was expanded by President Barack Obama in 2009.
The industry in general, and GM in particular, have rebounded sharply since the rescue. Since the rescue, GM has announced investments of more than $7.3 billion in the U.S. and created or retained more than 20,000 jobs.
“We come to work every day grateful that taxpayers from the US and Canada stepped forward to rescue our industry, and determined to show this extraordinary help was worth it,” Akerson said.

Mayan Calendar: Genesee, Lapeer County(Michigan) Schools Closed Rest Of Week Over Fear Of Violence
"It is clear that last Friday changed all of us. As educators, we acknowledge, and we believe our communities would agree, that schools are at the center of concern right now. As school district Superintendents we have been in constant communication with one another and there are too many unique factors that have influenced our unanimous decision to cancel school and all school activities for Thursday, December 20 and Friday, December 21."

Lapeer Schools cancel classes for the remainder of the week
LAPEER, Mich. (WJBK) -- Lapeer Community Schools will be closed for the rest of the week because of a potential threat of violence.
The superintendent says there is no credible threat at this time -- just rumors.
However, in light of the Connecticut school shooting last week and the Mayan's prediction of an apocalypse this Friday, school officials have decided to keep students at home.

Obama coming after our guns?
In reality mass shootings are down in the U.S.
Grant Duwe, a criminologist with the Minnesota Department of Corrections who has written a history of mass murders in America, said that while mass shootings rose between the 1960s and the 1990s, they actually dropped in the 2000s. And mass killings actually reached their peak in 1929, according to his data. He estimates that there were 32 in the 1980s, 42 in the 1990s and 26 in the first decade of the century.
Chances of being killed in a mass shooting, he says, are probably no greater than being struck by lightning.

Liberal Left, Blames American's For Prosperity and Tea Party For Union Violence
In their article, Electablog states that Clint Tarver is lying about the person in Guy Fawkes mask saying that no person was near the tent. Yet in their video trying to prove that AFP took down tent you clearly see the person in Guy Fawkes mask at the 1:04 minute mark as shown below.
The article also singles out Stacy Swimp who is a well known African- American Conservative activist in Michigan and President of the Fredrick Douglas Society and Howell, Michigan Tea Party Leader, Wendy Lynn Day.
Stacy Swimp responded to the liberal attack on him and Wendy Lynn Day by saying:
"Liberals are saying that the Americans for Prosperity-Michigan supporters pulled down their own tent.
Of course, the are now attacking Clint Tarver and anyone else who has testified against union racism and violence.
They talk EXTENSIVELY about me in this article and others that I have seen. One liberal "Doctor" said "Swimp was clearly in charge"! lol!!
They have a video clip of me telling Wendy Lynn Day to go inside the tent and claim that, at the same time, people in the tent where asking folks to leave.
What they do not know is that my major concern was getting Wendy and the women out of harms way, as the men started getting more and more aggressive. Wendy, Amy Hagerstrom and any woman who was near me, can tell you that I focused especially on making sure they were safe.
I had no way of knowing what was going on inside of the tent, until I entered it shortly after, which I did realize it was now moving towards evacuation.
Ironically, liberals are not accusing me of any wrong doing, except to say that I intentionally wanted to move women in the tent to make it look like they were victims! Lol!!
We will not allow these lies to discourage us.
Truth crushed to the ground will rise again!!"
If Americans For Properity were responsible for the destruction of their own tent, please explain this video:
“An hour after the Americans for Prosperity tent is destroyed on the Michigan Capitol lawn, a demonstrator in a Teamster jacket cuts shards from the tarp and hands out as souvenirs,” reads the video’s description.
Why were they collecting “souvenirs”?
According to one woman in the video, AFP workers were holding signs accusing union workers of being “sleazeballs” and “lazy.” However, there is no evidence to back up this claim.
Meanwhile, unions and their left-wing allies have accused AFP of staging the whole thing
Here is the link to the Electablog article. Please feel free to leave your own comments on their post and have a barf bag near by, if you decide to read their entire article:

How Convenient for Hillary Clinton To Have A Concussion When She's About To Testify
Here is the story:
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sustained a concussion after becoming dehydrated and fainting, and will no longer testify Thursday before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Clinton had been suffering from a stomach virus at the time, according to a statement on Saturday from Philippe Reines, deputy assistant secretary of state.
She is being monitored by doctors and is recovering at home. She was never hospitalized, Reines said.
"At their recommendation, she will continue to work from home next week, staying in regular contact with Department and other officials. She is looking forward to being back in the office soon," Reines said.
A senior State Department official added that the fainting occurred earlier in the week and the concussion was "not severe."
Source: Obama to tap Kerry to be secretary of state
Secretary Clinton had been scheduled to testify on Capitol Hill Thursday about the deadly attack in Benghazi, Libya, in September that killed four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador.
Jodi Seth, spokeswoman for Democratic Sen. John Kerry, Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman, said in a statement that Clinton would not testify before that committee Thursday.
"Secretary Clinton's team contacted Senator Kerry this morning to inform them of the Secretary's concussion. Senator Kerry was relieved to hear that the Secretary is on the mend, but he insisted that given her condition, she could not and should not appear on Thursday as previously planned, and that the nation's best interests are served by the report and hearings proceeding as scheduled with senior officials appearing in her place," Seth said.
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Florida, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said in a statement it was "unfortunate" Clinton would not be testifying before her committee either on Thursday.
William Burns and Thomas Nides, both Deputy Secretaries of State, will testify before that committee instead.
"Although I respect Bill and Tom, we still don't have information from the Obama administration on what went so tragically wrong in Benghazi," Ros-Lehtinen said. "We have been combing classified and unclassified documents and have tough questions about State Department threat assessments and decision-making on Benghazi. This requires a public appearance by the Secretary of State herself."
The September 11, 2012, attack resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, and called into question the security of U.S. diplomatic personnel abroad.
Civilian With A Concealed Weapons Permit Stopped Portland Mall Shooter
PORTLAND -- Nick Meli is emotionally drained. The 22-year-old was at Clackamas Town Center with a friend and her baby when a masked man opened fire.
"I heard three shots and turned and looked at Casey and said, 'are you serious?,'" he said.
The friend and baby hit the floor. Meli, who has a concealed carry permit, positioned himself behind a pillar.
"He was working on his rifle," said Meli. "He kept pulling the charging handle and hitting the side."
The break in gunfire allowed Meli to pull out his own gun, but he never took his eyes off the shooter.
"As I was going down to pull, I saw someone in the back of the Charlotte move, and I knew if I fired and missed, I could hit them," he said.
Meli took cover inside a nearby store. He never pulled the trigger. He stands by that decision.
"I'm not beating myself up cause I didn't shoot him," said Meli. "I know after he saw me, I think the last shot he fired was the one he used on himself."
The gunman was dead, but not before taking two innocent lives with him and taking the innocence of everyone else.
"I don't ever want to see anyone that way ever," said Meli. "It just bothers me."

Domino's founder Tom Monaghan sues feds over new health care law
The founder of Domino's Pizza is suing the federal government over mandatory contraception coverage in the new health care law.
Tom Monaghan, a devout Roman Catholic, says contraception is not health care and instead is a "gravely immoral" practice. He's a plaintiff in a lawsuit filed Friday in federal court, along with his Domino's Farms, which runs an office park in Ann Arbor Township
Monaghan offers health insurance that excludes contraception and abortion for employees. The new law requires employers to offer insurance that includes contraception coverage or risk fines. Monaghan says the law violates his constitutional rights, and he's asking a judge to strike down the mandate.
The government says the contraception mandate benefits women and their role in society. There are similar lawsuits pending across the country.

Congressman That Thought Guam Would Tip Over: I AM SORRY FOR MIDGETS
“If you put a midget against a giant, he won’t win. They are in entirely different weight classes [in cage-match fighting]. But if you put 30 midgets in with that giant, they just might win [collectively].” -Hank Johnson (~8:00PM ET, 12/12/12, House of Representatives General Speeches)Johnson used what he now calls the “m word” in that metaphor. This metaphorical fight thankfully did not threaten to capsize the island of Guam. But it did deliver comedy gold as Johnson substituted the “m word” for something he thinks is better: “abnormal.”
The transcript of Johnson’s apology reads like a clever sketch lampooning Democrats and political rhetoric generally.
Johnson: When we say little people, I’m not talking about the Helmsley little people; I’m not talking about the 47%; I’m not talking about the takers instead of the makers as some would describe them; I’m not talking about the middle class, working people, poor people, working poor people — that’s not what is meant by the little people term. It really refers to a medical condition, dwarfism is the name of that medical condition, and sometimes I guess one can even say abnormally small people, abnormally small people which to me is — I like that term better than dwarfism. And it gets even more surreal when Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) condescendingly pats Johnson on the head for his apology.
Schakowsky: People understand that there are those who are deeply offended by it and that we should all learn what not to say so as to defend, uh, offend people. From there, Johnson went on to promote a web site about “abnormally small people, or little people, or unusually small people.” Johnson went on to defend his original analogy, then altered it to a story about little fish having to learn to get along with bigger fish or they will get eaten, before launching into a tirade against the legislative group ALEC.
So…it’s the fault of smaller fish when they get devoured by tiger sharks, because they never learned to get along with them. Noted.
Stunning fact: Hank Johnson was a judge, for 10 years, before being elected to represent Georgia’s 4th Congressional District.

ESPN Commentator and WDIV TV Detroit Sports Reporter Rob Parker Should Be Fired!
Parker then went on with his racist rampage, "I keep hearing these things. We all know he has a white fiancée. There was all this talk about he's a Republican."
Well lets look into Mr. Rob Parker's Past. We will see a series of poor behavior and deceitful actions ranging from racist to homophobic remarks. In addition we will see how Rob Parker slams Republicans but crosses picket lines and doesn't join Unions but still has them work on his behalf.
Detroit News sports columnist Rob Parker has resigned from the newspaper, was the reported story back in January of 2009, however, Parker had been demoted to general assignment sports reporter, the Newspaper Guild disclosed, in the fallout from a news conference question to the coach of the Detroit Lions NFL team that drew criticism from management, readers and other sports journalists.
"He doesn't work here any more," Managing Editor Donald Nauss said. He said Parker resigned. Asked whether this followed a suspension of his column, Nauss said, "I can't talk about personnel matters."
Parker, who had been at the paper for eight years, could not be reached for comment and has not responded to previous requests.
[On ESPN Radio's "Mike and Mike" show on Wednesday January 7th 2009, Parker said, "I asked the people for a buyout and they granted me one.
["The newspaper is changing," and "this situation came along and I just thought it was time for me to leave because I just thought we were not on the same page as far as reporting and how to get a story," he said.]
Lou Mleczko, president of the Newspaper Guild of Detroit, said grievances filed on Parker's behalf might remain in place. "We've got some policy issues," he told Journal-isms.
At a postgame news conference on Dec. 21, Parker asked Lions coach Rod Marinelli whether he wished his daughter had married "a better defensive coordinator."
Fox television showed the question, prompting analyst Terry Bradshaw to say: "You know, Rob, you're an idiot. You're just a flat idiot." Others chimed in.
Parker defended himself in a column that Monday, saying, "What might have seemed like a personal attack wasn't. . . . I respect what Marinelli is trying to accomplish as Lions coach, and he respects what I do as a sports columnist - ask questions, tough ones, to get at the root of his team's woes."
But Marinelli said the next day, "Anytime you attack my daughter, I've got a problem with that . . ." and, asked whether the question crossed the line, replied, "big time."
The Lions fired Marinelli on Dec. 28, a day after the team became the first in NFL history to finish with a record of 0-16.
But Parker's troubles remained. The column of apology was the last one Parker would write for the paper. Nauss said in a News story that Parker's question was inappropriate and unprofessional.
"The News is taking this matter seriously and will deal with it promptly in an appropriate manner," Nauss said.
It wasn't the first time Parker had been in hot water.
Less than two months before that, Parker apologized for implicating Michigan State University backup quarterback Kirk Cousins in an off-campus assault. Parker made the statement in October on WDIV-TV's "Clubhouse Confidential."
Mleczkc said Parker was suspended without pay for "several days" and then demoted to sports general assignment reporter for "several weeks." The Guild filed a grievance on Parker's behalf on Nov. 24, saying Parker made the comments as a freelancer, not as a News employee.
Back in 1991, Parker was brought up on charges by the Newspaper Guild for crossing picket lines during a bitter strike at the New York Daily News. The charges were later dropped and Parker moved on to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Even though Parker never joined the Guild, the Detroit union just on Monday filed another grievance on Parker's behalf. It said the penalty for his question to the coach was disproportionate, and challenged the News' assertion that Parker's behavior was unprofessional and harmed the newspaper's reputation nationally, Mleczko said.
"We have a legal as well as ethical responsibility to people who are in our jurisdiction to represent them" even if they do not join the Guild, the union president said.
Parker started at Newsday in 1995, one month after he had been suspended for a day for making a joke on a radio program he co-hosted on WDFN-AM, a Detroit all-sports station. He jokingly said in a discussion of cats, "everyone needs a little pussy."
According to Wikipedia, "The African-American Parker is not shy to discuss the racial aspects of current sports events, such as the NBA off-court dress policy, or the lack of African-Americans in NFL coaching positions. He penned a much-debated column where he called Hank Aaron a 'coward' for declining to attend when Barry Bonds would break the career Major League home run record."
Last year, Parker declared on ESPN's "First Take" that he had low expectations for college players Tyler Hansbrough and Kevin Love in the NBA, because they are white.
Detroit Morning News Anchor Quits Live On The Air
Joe Donovan long time morning anchor of CBS News Radio WWJ 950 am In Detroit quit live on the air today. Joe stated on his website,
"There is nothing like being on the air when a major story begins to break. After more than three decades at WWJ, I feel the same excitement as the first day we began broadcasting the latest news the minute you want it. The change in the tools to do that has been incredible, from old time clunking teletype machines to high-speed internet and worldwide digital communications. Still, my favorite technology is old fashioned book. Reading is my favorite pastime, especially non-fiction and biography. The most fun part of my day is researching and assembling my daily on-air and web “Joe Donovan’s Detroit History".
Then in Bangor Maine, a pair of local TV news anchors had a surprise for viewers at the end of their 6 p.m. newscast on last month when they quit
"On behalf of Cindy and me, we have loved every moment bringing the news to you," Consiglio said. "Some recent developments have come to our attention, though, and departing together is the best alternative."
The duo did not elaborate for viewers, but they did for the local newspaper.
Palmer also told the Associated Press that the pair "were on their way out, anyway," and that "sometimes people leave their jobs before they're asked to leave."

Union Goon Who Assaulted Steven Crowder Identified
“You can come forward, I’ll press charges, you’ll go to jail,” Crowder said. “Or, since you wanted to cheap-shot me, we can host a bout in a sanctioned, legalized MMA competition.”
Referencing the fund that has been set up to find the perpetrators, Crowder said the winner of the MMA battle will get the money to donate to the charity or union of his choice. “Face me like a man,” Crowder taunted, adding that he was “easy to find.”
The man in question is being identified as Tony Camargo of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. His name was on his jacket. Heh. Now let’s hope the law enforcement authorities throw the book at him.
No Surprise Taitz Case Against Obama Denied
As first reported by the school’s student paper, the Occidental Weekly, Taitz had filed a legal motion to compel Occidental College to release transcripts and other records from when Obama was an undergraduate there in the late ’70s and early ’80s, alleging that Obama was not born in the United States and is currently using a fake social security number. The private college’s counsel, Carl Botterud, pointing to privacy concerns, deemed Taitz’s case “frivolous” and “without merit.” She then that the matter of Obama’s alleged foreign birth was important enough to overrule privacy laws.
“Your opposition will constitute Obstruction of Justice, Aiding and Abetting in the elections fraud in forgery and treason in allowing a foreign citizen to usurp the U.S. Presidency with an aid of forged IDs and usurp the civil rights of the U.S. citizens,” wrote Taitz in an email to Botterud ahead of their court date. “At any rate your opposition and your attempt of intimidation and your allegiance or lack of allegiance to the United States of America is duly noted. Just make sure not to forget to bring with you Mr. Obama’s application, registration, and financial aid application.”
Orange County Superior Court Judge Charles Margines rejected Taitz’ argument, citing procedural errors and questioning the quality of her evidence.
“You should know that evidence is not stuff printed from the Internet,” Margines told Taitz, according to the Occidental Weekly.
Here’s an excerpt from Dr. Taitz’s press release about the filing she posted at her blog yesterday:
Breaking news! Supreme Court of CA to rule whether Obama should be declared illegitimate for the U.S. Presidency due to his use of forged IDs and a fraudulently obtained CT Social Security number. Loss of 55 CA electoral votes will certainly mean new elections in the U.S.
After originally refusing to hear the case under the original jurisdiction, Supreme Court of California was persuaded by Attorney and Candidate for the U.S. Senate Dr. Orly Taitz to take on a case Noonan, Judd, MacLaren, Taitz v Bowen under the provisions of the California Constitution, which allow Supreme Court of California to hear special cases under the Original Jurisdiction. Docket excerpt is below. Case number is S 207078 Noonan v Bowen. Attorney Orly Taitz. -snip- PR: http://www.orlytaitzesq.com/?p=364106
This case is brought on behalf of four plaintiffs, all of whom have perfect standing. Edward Noonan won the American Independent Party Presidential Primary in CA and certificate of his win was submitted to the court. Keith Judd is a Democratic Party candidate for the U.s. Presidency, registered with the FEC, he was a runner up to Barack Obama in West Virginia Democratic Party Primary with 40% of the vote, Thomas Gregory Macleran was a Republican candidate for President, registered with the FEC. Attorney and Doctor Orly Taitz was a candidate for the U.S. Senate in CA.
This case has two premises.
First. Plaintiffs provided the court with evidence of nearly One and a half million invalid voter registrations in the state of California. Such a large number of invalid votes justifies STAY of certification of the results.
Second. Plaintiffs provided evidence of Candidate Barack Obama committing massive elections fraud by using forged IDs and a fraudulently obtained Connecticut Social Security number 042-68-4425, which was never assigned to Obama and using a name, which is not legally his, as he is listed under the last name Soebarkah in his mother’s U.S. Passport and there is no evidence of him ever legally changing his name from Barack Obama Soebarkah to Barack Obama. Additionally, in his school records in Indonesia his citizenship is listed as Indonesian, not American. There is no record of him relinquishing his Indonesian citizenship and gaining the U.S. citizenship. Even if one were to believe that he arguendo changed his citizenship from Indonesian to American later in life, he would be a naturalized citizen and not natural born. Additionally, plaintiffs provided the courts with a sworn affidavits of Maricopa county, AZ investigator Mike Zullo, who is currently conducting a criminal investigation of forgeries in Obama’s IDs, and who attested that Obama’s birth certificate, Selective Service certificate and Social Security card represent forgeries. Similarly, Plaintiffs provided affidavits of Sheriff Joseph Arpaio, Senior Deportation Officer John Sampson, experts Paul Irey, Douglas Vogt and Felicito Papa and investigator Susan Daniels, all of whom are attesting that Obama’s IDs are forgeries. Affidavit of Assistant Clerk for the City of Honolulu Timothy Adams attests to the fact that there is no birth certificate for Barack Obama in any hospital in Hawaii. Statement of the Minister of Health of Kenya, James Orenga attesting to Obama’s birth in Kenya and Obama’s own biography submitted by him to his literally agent in 1991, stating that he was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia. Plaintiffs are stating that if this court does not STAY the certification of the election results, this court will commit treason against the United States of America by allowing a foreign national, a citizen of Indonesia and possibly still citizen of Kenya to get in the position of the U.S. President and Commander n Chief by virtue of fraud and use of forged IDs and a stolen Social Security number.
Attorney Orly Taitz is a civil rights attorney, who is conducting this and a number of other cases pro bono and donations are appreciated, pay-pal link and address to send a donation are available on her web site OrlyTaitzESQ.com Currently Taitz is suing Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Registrar Alvin Onaka, commissioner of Social Security Michael Astrue, “Obama for America”, Democratic Party and others in the state of MS in a RICO (Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations) case, Taitz et al v Democratic Party et al 12-cv-280.
While Citizens cannot contact the court and influence the decision of the court one way or another, they can write to the court and ask to expedite this case, as this is the most important matter of National security and time is of the essence. If the Supreme Court of California does not grant a STAY, the case will go to Supreme Court of the United States Justice Anthony Kennedy, who is in charge of the 9th Circuit.
Two well known historical figures that have hidden their birth records and used falsified records, were Joseph Stalin and Adolph Hitler. We all know how that ended. Public is asked to support the plaintiffs and attorney Taitz in helping to finally adjudicate ON THE MERITS the issue of Obama’s forged IDs. Over 30 high ranking officials, including Attorney General of the US and White House Counsel were indicted and went to prison in Watergate. More corrupt and treasonous officials and judges are expected to go to prison in ObamaForgeryGate

MSNBC's Chris Matthews Harrasses American For Prosperity Worker
Gretchen Whitmer, You Are The Only Disgrace
Gretchen quit grand standing. You're just upset because you will no longer be raping workers pay checks to get your campaign contributions. You can't argue with facts. Right to work states benefit both workers and their employers. Unions now have to work for their customers, the workers they represent! I loved it when Paul W. Smith called you out on your lies and deceit on WJR am 760 in Detroit yesterday.
Anyone in Michigan politics should know that Right to Work has been a movement since the last 1970's. The battle picked up pace from us conservatives in 2011 when we took the State House, State Senate and Governor's office.
As you know very well Governor Snyder didn't want this on his agenda. However your constant pushing with recall efforts against Governer Snyder and then your push with proposal 2 pushed this issue to the forefront.
Again facts speak for themselves and every state that has introduced right to work has seen a dramatic improvement in their state's economy.
Hot Dog Vender Attacked By Union Thugs In Right To Work Battle
Clint Tarver, known as "The Hot Dog Guy" in Lansing had his business attacked by out of line and out of control protesters near the Capitol.
Everyone who has passed the hot dog cart knows what a kind and caring individual Clint is. He never fails to bestow a smile or friendly greeting. In no way he he provoke this attack, nor any of the behavior displayed toward him.

Obama, MI State Rep House Rep Geiss and Michigan Democrats Encourage Violence In Michigan
“There will be blood,” State Representative Douglas Geiss threatened from the floor of the Michigan House of Representatives today as the body debated legislation that would make Michigan the nation’s 24th right to work state.
“I really wish we had not gone here,” Geiss continued. “It is the leadership in this house that has led us here. The same leadership that tried to throw a bomb right on election day, leading to a member switching parties, and came in at the 11th hour with a gotcha bill. For that, I do not see solace, I do not see peace.”
Sadly, thanks to Geiss’s grandstanding and prediction of no peace … there was none yesterday as out of control union thugs threatened and physically harmed those who dare have an alternative opinion.
House Democrats also tweeted, “There will be Blood”. It was then taken down but not before it was captured for all time.
As reported at Weasel Zippers via the Washington Examiner, The Obama White House refused to condemn the “there will be blood” comments. Of course not, how could Obama, so beholden to the unions possibly condemn any Democrat standing for union labor no matter if there was threats or not. Instead, they make excuses.President Obama’s spokesman cited the ambiguity of the statement, “there will be blood,” as he avoided condemning the remark made by a Michigan Democrat who opposes the imminent state’s right-to-work legislation.
“The president believes in debate that’s civil,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said today. “I haven’t seen those comments and I’m not sure that they mean what some would interpret them to mean. I just haven’t seen them.”

Breaking: Video Union Thugs Tear Down Tents in Lansing
Exposing the Lies of Right To Work
The Democrats continue to fight for union Monopolies in Lansing. With out these monopolies they will lose much of their funding that is stolen from workers paychecks. Here are some lies that are being spread on House floor by State Rep. Joan Bauer: Workers in Freedom-to-Work states get paid lower wages.
The TRUTH: Private-sector, inflation-adjusted employee compensation in right-to-work states has grown by 12.0 percent between 2001-2011, according to data taken from the Bureau of Economic Analysis and Bureau of Labor Statistics. That compares with just 3.0 percent over the same period in forced-unionization states.
Senator Gretchen Whitmer on CNN comparing Michigan State Police to hired thugs.
The TRUTH:Shame on HER, these folks put there life on the line everyday to protect Michiganders. Look at Detroit, the murder capital of our nation!
Lies from the MEA "Its all about the kids"
The TRUTH: About 500 teachers have taken a personal day in the Warren School District so they can head to Lansing to protest the right-to-work law. The Warren School District is shut down today.
The lie: Obama in Michigan yesterday said that Right to work hurts collective bargaining.
The TRUTH: Collective Bargaining is a federally protected right and Right to Work will not change this.
Only 17 1/2 % of Michigan is unionized and 82% is not. Based on what's going Lansing one would think 100% is unionized. Freedom to Work could actually increase union membership when you have unions that actually work for their customers aka workers. Freedom to work breaks up union monopolies that take advantage of workers. The break up of monopolies will allow more unions to form, similar to what has happened in Roscommon Michigan. There, teachers fired their union, the Michigan Education Association and formed their own. Fact also in 21 of the 23 current right to work states, unemployment is lower than non-right to work states.
Conservatives Call For Boehner To Step Down
Several Republicans hinted that they won’t vote to re-elect him to run the chamber, and a conservative interest group announced a bid to recruit someone else to run against him for the speakership.
Mr. Boehner, an Ohio Republican, is not in any danger yet — the rebellion shows no signs of reaching beyond a small group of dissatisfied lawmakers — but it could complicate his efforts to strike a deal with President Obama to head off the looming “fiscal cliff” that will send tax rates soaring and will impose automatic spending cuts early next month.
American Majority Action, a conservative interest group, on Monday endorsed Rep. Tom Price and two other Republicans who they said should replace Boehner and his top lieutenants, and has launched a lobbying push to try to sway rank-and-file members to withhold their votes from Boehner.
Price won’t challenge Boehner, a spokesman said.
But lawmakers can vote for anyone when the House members cast ballots Jan. 3 for the next speaker, and if Republican members vote for someone other than Boehner.
Justin Amash Speaks Out:
Thanks to those of you at home for speaking out—not for me, but for yourselves. I'm proud and honored to represent the vast majority of Americans who believe that Members of Congress need to work together to balance the budget.
We will no longer sit silently while political insiders and corporate lobbyists saddle our children and grandchildren with an insurmountable debt. It's time for Republican leadership to show us the vote scorecard they used to determine committee assignments—a scoring system that docks a person for fiscal responsibility.
Only in Washington, DC, is a person taken off of the Budget Committee for wanting to balance the budget.

Labor Freedom
***Again, tomorrow is a very important historical day for Michigan. We would love for as many of our tea party people as possible to be there to speak with representatives and senators and make sure they remain committed to RTW. Americans for Prosperity and several other conservative groups will be there to help guide you through the day. They are located in a large white heated tent on the south lawn of the Capitol. If you cannot go in a group, please just stay at home and make phone calls and send emails. This is important too. We know that there is going to be a union presence there. The difference between those in favor of Freedom to Work legislation and pro-union protesters is like night and day, truly. This comment has been made by many of our lawmakers. They need to hear from and see those that support them but we do not want anyone to be in harm's way to do so. We have every right to be there, it is our Capitol too. Use your discretion to decide how you might help in this historic, important measure for our state! God bless Michigan!***

Right-to-Work: The Battle for Michigan's Worker Freedom
He was one of the conservative activists who had pushed for a right-to-work law for more than a year, behind the scenes. A former UAW member, Bos believes deep in his soul that he is right. That this movement will help Michigan. That he is helping his children
The meeting was held in Lansing in April 2011.
About 35 conservative political activists from across the state showed up to talk about right-to-work issues, which is an explosive, controversial topic in Michigan. "We met secretly," Bos said. "It wasn't that we hated unions; we hated the power of what unions had grown into."
They sat at tables and introduced themselves. Bos didn't really know anybody.
"I wanted to check it out," he said. "I knew nothing about the vast majority of the 35 people there. When I got there and saw the caliber of people, the intellect, the principled nature that was driving them, I said, 'I want to be part of this.' "
Bos said the group took a name -- the Michigan Freedom to Work Coalition -- because polling showed it wouldn't be as divisive as using the phrase "right-to-work."
One of the people at the meeting was Terry Bowman, a Ford employee and member of the UAW. Bowman would become one of the biggest voices on this issue -- eventually leaving this organization for another one, working on similar issues -- while Bos would become chairman of the coalition's grassroots committee.
On Friday morning, Bos worked through e-mails and went on Facebook, still working at that grassroots level. He wasn't celebrating.
"It's not so much spiking the football," he said. "I can relate to those union members so much. I also understand they have been motivated by misinformation."
While the debate rages across Michigan, there is no question in Bos' mind: This legislation will help Michigan.
"Some people say, 'You are busting the unions,' " Bos said. "I say, 'You are darn right. I'm busting the bad ones.'
"I am so thankful for my right to be able to choose. If I think I need to be able to buy representation, I'm thankful for that. But I don't think I should be forced to."
He is excited about the future. Excited for Michigan. And believes the economy will improve.
"I can't wait for the results that will happen over the next two years," he said. "It would be so nice for Michigan to lead the nation in something positive."
